GENERAL ANAESTHESIA SERVICES
We care for the disabled, patients with the dental phobia, so we provide any dental treatment services under general anaesthesia in the fully equipped operating room.
Attelia Dental Clinic has an in-house operating theatre equipped with state-of-the-art anaesthesia technology, which is overseen by our experienced general anaesthesiologist, nurse, and a sufficient number of assistants who work together with our specialist team of dental physicians.
In some cases, it is necessary for a patient to receive general anaesthesia for dental treatment, and it is especially necessary for the disabled, young children, and those with dental phobia. Our clinic has had 18 years of valuable experience working with these patients under general anaesthesia, and we have had a lot of practice when treating children.
It is very rare for a dental clinic to have an in-house operating theatre where we can provide the patient with a unique experience in dental treatment. Our dental physicians and allied staff can complete all dental procedures while the patient sleeps, and when the patient awakes after the treatment has been completed, our patient coordinators will wait for the patient to awake and take them to a specially prepared private rest and recovery room.
General anaesthesia procedures at Attelia Dental Clinic
A day before treatment commences the patient will undergo a Panoramic X-ray, and, where necessary, a Volumetric Tomography scan of their mouth area.
On the following day, the patient is asked not to eat anything for at least 6 hours before coming to the clinic. As with normal hospital procedure, the patient will be questioned as to whether they suffer from any diseases, and blood tests will be taken.
Our general anaesthetist will then determine whether the patient is fit to undergo the operation, and if so, a time will be set for the procedure.
The patient will be taken to the operating theatre, and will be put to sleep in the presence of both our anaesthesiologist and our dental physician. The anaesthesiologist and specialist nurse will be at the patient’s side throughout the procedure to monitor their progress.
When the procedure has been completed, the patient will awake in our rest and recovery room completely unaware that the operation has taken place.
